My iBook is no more. But it's going to get better. Turns out that I was right in my assumptions about what was going on with the whirring sound as I mentioned in my last post. The hard drive is shot it seems without any hope of recovering any of the data on it. So, they've sent it off to the Apple Depot to get refitted. They should be completely replacing the hard drive and the keyboard and maybe some other stuff. Who knows what goes on at Apple places. So, I'll probably get an iBook G4 12" reset to it's factory defaults. So, it's my little iBook ver. 2.0. Should be exciting. Of course it being refit doesn't actually make it good enough to really play the game... so I'll still be consdierably under-speced for it, but at least I'll be back to playing.
So, while I'm excited to get my shiny "new" old laptop, here's what I'm really excited about doing once I get it:
1) Installing WoW
2) Installing TBC
3) Patching it all
4) ... Still patching
5) ... hmmm....
6) Setting up my action bars again
7) Setting up my key bindings again
8) Recreating all the macros I had
9) Downloading and Installing all my addons
10) Playing again! (seriously.. I am excited about that)
